He was born in Lancaster South Carolina on November 4, 1922 and was the oldest of 13 siblings. He served his country as a soldier in World War II , and retired from R.J. Reynolds tobacco company after 40 years of continuous service and also later retiring twice from Pony Express. He was married to Naomi B.McGriff for 59 years and was the proud father of 5 children, 15 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. He was a member of the Olympic Lodge Number 795 Masonic chapter and Past Honorary Master in 2006 and 2007." (6/23/15) |
