RE:    Ways and Means Steering Committee Meeting

Greetings Dear Cousins:
I hope all is well with each of you, your families, and friends.
As I indicated to everyone in my communication on October 23, 2022, our annual Ways and Means Steering Committee meeting is scheduled for November 19, 2022, at 10:00AM. A separate email with instructions for the call will be sent prior to the meeting.
If you are attending the meeting for the first time, the Ways and Means Committee is responsible for:
Reviewing the policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulations governing the activities of the Cousins and submitting proposals, updates, and changes through recommendations. If these recommendations are approved, they will be submitted to the Executive Board, for approval, then to the body of Cousins for ratification.
Identifying fund raising efforts to pursue and to work closely with the Executive Board as necessary. In addition, this committee will assist with any other general/specific concerns for the Cousins.
As in the past, all recommendations must be emailed to the National Secretary (Cheryl Hatton – hattoncdt@yahoo.com) no later than November 11, 2022.  The secretary will in turn send those recommendations out to the chapters/delegates for their review prior to the W&M meeting.
This will allow delegates/chapters time for discussion and prepare them for voting and eliminate last minute recommendations. No recommendations will be accepted after November 11, 2022.
All Cousins are invited to the meeting, however only” one “delegate per chapter is permitted to vote on the recommendations.
Required Reports:  Written reports are created for the business meeting held at or just prior to the Annual Reunion site in June; as such we will look forward to receiving updated information from the following committees at this meeting:
An update from the upcoming reunion host – ATL Chapter

History Report
D.C. Reunion Summary
Youth Committee Report
Facebook Update
Chapter Membership Status Report
Request to host future reunions
Activity Committee Report
Scholarship Committee Report
Treasury Report

Please remember at least one delegate from each chapter is expected and encouraged to attend.  All Chapter recommendations should be submitted in writing via email.  Once the agenda is finalized, I will forward it prior to the meeting on November 19, 2022.

If you have questions, suggestions or concerns please call me at (313) 515-2008 or feel free to email me at omcgriff@sbcglobal.net.  I look forward to seeing you November 19, 2022, at 10:00 AM.
Until then, be safe, be careful, and God Bless.
